MESSMER RED ANGUS

History

Messmer Red Angus is a family ranching and farming operation in it's third generation. It is situated in the heart of the rolling plains of western North Dakota, 25 miles east of Dickinson or 75 miles west of Bismarck. Tony's father, Ray, was the first purebred Red Angus breeder in North Dakota - a visionary and sort of modern-day pioneer in the cattle business who recognized the potential and merit of the Red angus breed early on. Ray died in 1990 but his memory lives on in the Red Angus herd he established in 1962. Today our herd consists of over 200 purebred Red Angus cows and replacement heifers.
