For over 46 years we have looked forward with our Red Angus program. We are using our select base of 100% dams to carry forward those great Red Angus traditions of calving ease, maternal power and carcass quality demanded by commercial cattle producers. The cattle industry is changing with increased emphasis on carcass quality and consistency. Our program features a rigid culling program that focuses on moderate framed beef cattle and integrates calving ease, high growth, top performance and maternal power into a genetic package - which is consistent with the Red Angus tradition. We at Messmer Red Angus believe there is nothing more important that the maternal strength of our herd.
