For over 48 years we have looked forward with our Red Angus program. We have used our select base of 100% dams to carry forward those great Red Angus traditions of calving ease, maternal power and carcass quality demanded by commercial cattle producers. The cattle industry is changing with increased emphasis on carcass quality and consistency. For many years, our program featured a rigid culling program that focused on moderate framed beef cattle and integrated calving ease, high growth, top performance and maternal power into a genetic package - which is consistent with the Red Angus tradition. We at Messmer Red Angus believed there was nothing more important that the maternal strength of our herd. Our goal was to provide high quality genetics, along with courteous service and reliability guarantees.
